How long will my order take?
Most orders are ready to ship or pick up within 1 business day. Some custom work and more detailed items (like a mandala) will sometimes take a little longer, but we'll always communicate by updates periodically.
I don't see what I'm looking for.
We're constantly learning new things, and updating our project list as we go. If there's something you're interested in, but you don't see it in our catalog, just contact us with your idea and we'll let you know if it's something we can create for you.
My product isn't perfect, will you replace it?
All of our projects are hand made, unique, and often times custom. We will send several digital proofs during the creation of your project, not moving forward until we receive a "thumbs-up" from you. We ask that once your item has gone from it's digital version, to reality, you not return it. However, if for some weird reason we messed up in bringing it into reality...we will gladly replace it.
Was Speckles a good dog?
The bestest!
I want to pick my item up, where will we meet?
For items marked for pickup we meet at, or near, the Morro Bay Golf Course. We offer delivery within SLO County at no additional cost (we do accept gratuity). If you want us to deliver, simply contact us after you place your order and indicate you are interested in delivery.
How long has Specks on the Beach been around?
We started Specks on the Beach on the 1 year anniversary of Speckles' passing, as a memorial to him. We started creating this memorial in May 2020. Although we don't have a long history as a company, our family is eager to establish a positive legacy as we look toward the future.
Will My Tshirt Shrink?
We use 100% cotton shirts, unless you've made special arrangements otherwise. The moment we receive a shipment of blanks, we wash them in hot water using a tiny amount of All Free and Clear detergent. We dry them on high heat, without using softener. This allows any shrinkage to happen in my washer, not yours. It clears the fabric of any leftover dye or treatments, allowing for a more permanent adhesion of your design.
How should I care for my shirt?
Once it's time to launder your shirt, we recommend turning it inside out and washing it on a cold cycle. Tumble dry on low, or no heat. We've washed some of our shirts dozens of times, and they still look brand new.
Why does my label say "UH-OH!"?
When we would drop some food, we'd say "uh-oh!". This would be Speckles' cue to come clean up. So what started as a mistake by us, turned into a happy moment for him. If your shirt says "uh-oh!" don't worry. This just means for some small reason it didn't live up to our high quality standards, so we couldn't give it to a client. We sell these shirts at a greatly reduced rate (to recoup the cost of materials basically), so our "uh-oh" can be a happy moment for you.
